A good Italian Grand Tour bronze of Ariadne on a panther. She became the wife of Theseus after she saved him from the Labrynth with a ball of wool and who eventually forsook her on the island of Naxos. She then took up with Bacchus. Very well cast and having superb detail. Set upon a green marble base. 5.5 inches high by 4.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep ( 13.75 cms by 11 cms by 6.25 cms).
