Antique patinated bronze sculpture and lamp signed Aug. Moreau. A wonderful quality sculpture and lamp, by the most eminent of 19th and early 20th century artist.
In really great condition, signed in the bronze to the back. Born in Dijon, August Moreau studied under Mathurin Moreau and exhibited mainly statuettes in marble at the Salons from 1861 to 1910.
