A fine pair of 19th century Patinated Bronze Medici Vases. With very good patinated and of good size, with figures of Achilles, Ulysses and Agamemnon beside Iphigenia crouched below a statue of Diana.  This pair of magnificent gilt bronze vases are reduced models after the famous Medici Vase, made during the second half of the 1stcentury A.D. which, with the Borghese Vase, is ascribed to Phidias. By the sixteenth century the Medici Vase was in the Villa Medici, Rome. It  12.3inches ighwas removed to Florence in 1780 and soon after displayed in the Uffizi, where it remains today. A fine pair, French circa 1870 12.5 inches high
