Antique Italian Grand Tour Sienna marble and bronze Tazza

Antique Italian Grand Tour Sienna marble and bronze Tazza. Set upon a square Sienna marble base below a circular patinated bronze moulding of fine stiff leaf and dart decoration. Within this is a small column of Sienna marble and sitting on this is the fine patinated bronze stem of the tazza in the form of three finely cast dolphins. Their heads are sitting on the column and their entwined scaly tails form the stem that holds the patinated bronze bowl itself which is reeded to the underside. Original patination to the bronze, all of which is very finely cast and modelled in excellent detail. Italian circa 1880. 4.75 inches high by 4.5 inch diameter ( 11.875 cm by 11.25 cm).
