Antique Grand Tour bronze of Ariadne on a Panther

Antique  19th century Grand Tour patinated bronze of Ariadne on a Panther, set upon a sienna marble base. She became the wife of Theseus after she saved him from the Labrynth with a ball of wool and who eventually forsook her on the island of Naxos. She then took up with Bacchus. Very well cast and having superb detail. Signed on the base. circa 1860
