Antique Dutch silver and split agate box or casket

A very finely worked and attractive silver and split agate box. Beautifully made and fully lined the matched agate veneers are in perfect condition, with no cracks. The lid has wonderfully fine silver work in the rococco style within clouds, and a courting couple, and gambolling cupids on either side on the box. With indistinct silver hallmarks, this is a wonderful box in perfect condition.  Dutch 1870-80. Measurements: H 7cm L 12.5cm D 8.5cm
